Hi I’m Dylan 👋

An architectural designer by day with a knack for photography!

A lot of my work is heavily influenced by my passions for the outdoors and design. Working in architecture mixed with countless days spent backpacking, hiking, and exploring natural places has cultivated an appreciation for design and an innate eye for composition and natural detail.

Living in Detroit, I find inspiration at the intersection of the city’s urban built environments and many of Southeast Michigan’s natural spaces and parks.

My entrance into photography can be traced back to childhood in Northern Michigan and my years of middle & high school art classes. Originally shooting on a loaned camera for art projects, I purchased my first DSLR camera in 2011 and moved to Detroit for architecture school in 2013, where my interest in photography took hold.

Now, a camera has become an essential piece of gear that I carry on backpacking trips in National Parks around the country and exploring Detroit. Although just a hobby (for now), photography is an extension of my architectural design process and a reason to get outdoors and enjoy nature.
